Executive Chef Ryan Esker is an award-winning chef with more than 15 years experience. Chef Esker was appointed Executive Chef of Two Unique Caterers and Event Planners in 2018 and is responsible for menu design, specialty catering menu creation, and oversight of the kitchen team.
Prior to his current position, Chef Esker gained experience throughout Metro Detroit's fine dining scene. From 2008-2013 he was the Executive Sous Chef of The Townsend Hotel where he had the privilege of working with some of luxury dining’s best chefs. From there he took over the corporate Executive Chef position at DTE’s headquarters in downtown Detroit.
A native of the metro Detroit area, Chef Esker received his formal training at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Mich. While at school Esker competed on the ACF student team, winning gold and competing on the national level.
Although Chef Esker manages a hectic schedule, he finds work-life balance teaching his two children music and exploring different cooking techniques and cuisines with his wife.
